Last time, I showed you some views looking east from the tower. This time, we'll look west just after sunset. The fog is moving in from the beach, and has reached the TBIT.
Flew in last night (Monday early morning) into the really thick fog, captain announced as we were parking at the gate, "In case any of you were wondering, that was purely an instrument landing... and I think it did a pretty good job."
WHAT A SITE!!!!!!!!! WITH YOUR VANTAGE POINT..........HOW LUCKY YOU ARE......TO SEE SUCH BEAUTY!!!!! THANKS SO MUCH....FOR A GREAT AVIATION START FOR THIS NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!! MISSTWA
I'm sure you've vectored me dozens of times, whether it be on the Civet, the Loop, or the Holtz 9! I've seen so many lovely shots from the left seat of my A320, but I've never seen the view from the Tower! Thanks for the different perspective!
I notice one of your fav' movies is "Airplane!" Come visit my blog and read, "My Ultimate--and Ultimately Shattered--Aviation Dream." I think you'll relate!!

Do airports attract fog? Or does fog attract airports?
