Here's one from quite a long time ago: LAX hasn't hosted Singapore A380s for several years now. When we did, they flew from LAX to Tokyo's Narita airport before continuing on to Singapore. Although not common, one of the departure routes used by aircraft destined for Asia goes out over Gorman -- that's the GMN that appears in the route section of the flight strip above (refer to the diagram in yesterday's post). Technically, this could be a flight plan from LAX to the GMN VOR; but there's no airport there, so then what?
