What's wrong with this picture?

The title is a bit misleading, as strictly speaking there's nothing really wrong with this picture. But there definitely is something unusual here.

  2. It's a CRJ-200 series, even though American Eagle usually flies the -700 series through LAX...

  3. Registration is N435SW, which is because Skywest started operating a handful of American Eagle Flights at LAX

  4. Hi CV, greetings from Liverpool,UK

Although marked as American Eagle, the tail number shows it not to be one of their aircraft!!!!

  7. I'm not too familiar with American Eagle but I didn't think they operated any CRJ-200's.

    1. That's mainly because we don't have much greenery on the ground at LAX by the end of summer and early autumn; after all, most of Southern California is desert regardless of how much we might pretend that it's not. The exception in the foreground is the green paint on the concrete to help pilots identify what part of the paving is actually taxiway.

  11. Crj200 is a new type to American Eagle. Looking up registration on ANET, this bird is operated by Skywest and was in Delta Connection colors before.

  12. SkyWest is now flying for AA regional routes out of LAX. I'm guessing this is one of their birds given the reg suffix.

  14. This plane is registered to SkyWest. American Eagle is wholly owned by AMR Group.
