The title is a bit misleading, as strictly speaking there's nothing really wrong with this picture. But there definitely is something unusual here.

It's a CRJ-200 series, even though American Eagle usually flies the -700 series through LAX...

Skywest's American Eagle service.
ReplyDeleteIt is a CRJ and up until now the flights have been ERJ.

ReplyDeleteThat's mainly because we don't have much greenery on the ground at LAX by the end of summer and early autumn; after all, most of Southern California is desert regardless of how much we might pretend that it's not. The exception in the foreground is the green paint on the concrete to help pilots identify what part of the paving is actually taxiway.
DeleteCrj200 is a new type to American Eagle. Looking up registration on ANET, this bird is operated by Skywest and was in Delta Connection colors before.
ReplyDeleteSkyWest is now flying for AA regional routes out of LAX. I'm guessing this is one of their birds given the reg suffix.
