Shot of the day: Southwest - AirTran merger

Here is the clearest display I've seen of the merger between Southwest and AirTran: a Southwest airplane wearing an AirTran nose cone!

    1. Welcome back - it's good to hear from you again! I like your recent retrospective on the Gimli Glider ("Gimli" - isn't that one of the dwarfs in The Hobbit?), and nice scoop on the Malaysian A380. I'm hearing rumors that we may see that at LAX, perhaps later this year . . .

    3. Funny thing about the A380s at LAX is that they've become commonplace to those of us who see them everyday; we're up to ten on some days. Doesn't reduce the amount of hassle they cause, though.

Yes, we are overdue for another post in the "What's wrong" series. This Southwest shot could have been one, I suppose, but it seemed too obvious for all you sharp-eyes out there!
