What a difference . . .

Along with the return of hot weather, we had a full moon this past weekend. The sunrise shot and the setting moon were taken within moments of each other.

The next morning, this is what I found as I walked over from the parking garage:

The Theme Building capped by the full moon

This was the view when I got to the top of the tower stairs:

The top of the fog almost level with the tower windows

This next shot shows, albeit not very clearly, an American B757 as it flies past the airport on a missed approach a few moments later:

What a difference twenty-four hours can make!

The rising sun behind a carpet of fog

The blanket of fog extending to the west beneath the setting moon

The roof of the American maintenance hangar barely visible; everything else to the west is hidden

Is anyone not hearing the theme music from "Jaws"?

  1. I am so happy the fog and cooler temps are back. It's cool the way the fog settles across the airport and lays there like a carpet of cloud across the landscape.
