You guys seem to enjoy these, and I've gotten lucky with the camera again. So what's wrong with this picture -- that is, besides the darkness and the reflections off the dirty tower windows?
Can't see for certain but it look like a missing tow bar on the Air New Zealand. Unless New Zealand got pushed back too far and now can't make the turn onto the runway without taking out US Airways
A wild guess: taxiway Delta is not wide enough for wingtip clearance with a 777-300 on the taxiway and a 757-300 at gate 12. (Hard to tell is that's really a 753 at the gate though in the dark)
Damn......can I get e-mail alerts...when you post...I just got to this....and I think I may be outta my league....guessing............you never did answer me about the Virgin jet on the taxi......other post.....I just gotta know..........please......now let me go see...........what the deal is here........

The tug just pulled her out of the alley at T2, gate 2. Still attached while it's on the taxiway?
ReplyDeleteMy guess is that someone missed a turn and has to be pushed back (and towed forward) into the alley (hence the tug waiting alone)

ReplyDeleteAir New Zealand was pulled too forward for a turn onto D8 for departure
ReplyDeleteWhy did the tug pull the ANZ 773 that far forward?
