Glad to be in LA

Doing an engine swap on an airplane, any kind of airplane, is a job. I've helped with a few, and watched many. Quite often outside, regardless of the weather - because there's no "inside" to be had. I must say that when that happens, there aren't many better places to be than LA.

  1. I hear you, 5x5! Decades ago, I did 'outside' utility work, work that could be truly miserable in many climates. Based in Santa Monica, it was a genuine joy - for about 50 weeks a year! If one has to change an engine without a hangar, LAX is the place to do it. A fun reminder of days long past. Thanks. -C.

  2. Could you make out the ship number on that 777?
Just curious if it was one of the newer ones.
