Reader videos

A couple of you have recently sent in comments that linked YouTube videos. For those who might not have seen them, here they are:

Thanks to getjets and Ben, respectively. Enjoy!

And now, for something completely different:

Talk about fully loaded!

  1. CaptainVector,"Twilight Landing" was so Awesome!!!!!Thank You Thank You

  2. Yes, I like it too - it's nicely done. I've thought about trying to do something like that with the Baron for some time now, but this is much better than anything I would've been able to produce.

Bonus points: What model of aircraft was it shot from? I think there are sufficient clues to figure that out, along with whose aircraft it is.

  3. Allegiant MD-80

  4. Has anyone come up with type of Aircraft in video is??????

  5. Getjets -

So far, no (not counting the guy who sent it to me in the first place, who I believe is also the pilot - and he'd better know!)

  6. Hello CV. I'm a huge fan of your blog and find it to be entertaining and educational. In fact, I always wanted to be a controller. Back in the day, my mother (who was and still is an SWA flight attendant) got me up in the LAX tower. I was hooked! I'm in the process of getting a group of company pilots together and getting a tour of PHX tower. Some of our guys lack radio/ATC etiquette. I think it would to help them to see the method behind the madness!
Anyway, I'm a Beechjet captain at a Part 135 On-Demand Charter company based in PHX. We frequent the LA basin. I've always wanted to put together a video like that but I lack the patience and talent. So, for the record, I'm not the guy! This video was sent to me by one of my Delta buddies and I immediately thought of you. Keep it up, I look forward to your next post
