I know it's been pretty quiet around here for the last week, so here's a little something to start off this week. I took this shot this morning, and invite your suggestions for captions. Post them in the comments.
oh Lord, it's Feb18, 1:14CST....and i'm watching the live LAX runway cams, and the air traffic is coming in from the west(from the pacific)....not too often that happens...CaptainVector, if your on shift, you ain't happy!!!! can hear the tension in the exchanges between ATC and Pilots...As always, Great Jobs by all!!!!!!
Well, at 11 am Pacific time I was painting at the theater; but I am on duty this evening, and as it happens have a trainee who's working on the Locals (aka "tower"). I've been hoping we'd get a chance to see some East traffic, and based on the forecast yesterday we anticipated this and reviewed in preparation. He's doing well and already had one session on the south side without incident; we'll be going up shortly to work a while on the north side. So far, so good!
