Hey there Captain Vector........ Possible prob #1 The airlines don't sound similar but both have the same Flght#'s (619)
Possible prob #2 both flights have the exact same 'departure' time's....
The aircraft'....are not similar in name....One a B757 the other one of my favorite "Tri-Holes".......the MD-11...
Maybe these are the obvious answers....but hey, I'm just an 'Aviation Geek'....... Well....I figure, I should at least make a 'C'........and we all know that the world is ran by 'C' students...... and people that wear two differnt socks....
Two planes, different airlines, with same flight number, 619. They both depart at 4:10 pm and the first two digits of the squawk number are the same for both flights.
Didn't I leave a comment here last week??pertaining to the 'flight strips'.......???? and if I was 'wrong' go ahead and kick that answer to the curb............OUCH.. MissTWA
Yes you did - It was in the queue. I've learned the hard way that comment moderation is a necessity. However, while it may be a necessity, it doesn't have a claim of immediacy - Comments normally will get published in batches when I have a chance to review them. If you like, just think of it like this: I take the opportunity to privately savor the arrival of your fresh, juicy comments for a few days before sharing them with my adoring fans.

Aside from the same flight number and the same proposed time of departure, nothing (they are going in opposite directions).

ReplyDeleteAgain VERY similar flight numbers......surely the FAA should intervene with the airlines involved to stop any possible conflict!!!
