It's a Horizon Dash-8 (aka Q400) that departed off Runway 24 Left. Your question got me thinking, and I don't seem to remember ever seeing an ATR on the ground at LAX. It seems inconceivable that there's never been one during my tenure, but my time here only goes back a decade or so. We currently have BE99s, B1900s, and E120s; and in the past I have seen C208s, C212s, J31s, SF34s and SW3s; we've even had an occasional Shorts or Dornier here. American Eagle did operate ATRs out of LAX in the 1990s, but only the old hands remember them here now.
Is that an ATR?
