Being stored away for it's evening flight? Looks like the taxiway ahead of it is not in use, making a nice temporary parking spot for the early arrival, late turn around flight?
It rejected takeoff and the resulting overheated brakes caused the fuse plugs to deflate 5 tires so passengers had to deplane on the taxiway and be bussed back to the terminal. I cheated: http://avherald.com/h?article=44659d80&opt=0
I see from the construction webcam that the new cross field taxiway is open. Is this a happy day for the ground position, or is there grumbling because it is not visible from the tower because of the TBIT construction? http://www.earthcam.com/clients/lax/?page=pano&project=cam1
Love the photos and blog Capt Vector...please keep them coming!
In quarantine?
ReplyDeleteRejected take off causing over heated brakes and thus deflated main gear tires?
ReplyDeleteLooks like it has a couple of flat tires. Also must be nice to have taxiway S back, saw a AA 737 on the panorama picture at laxdevelopment.
ReplyDeleteThat's the PAL that aborted it's takeoff. Yesterday it was parked over by the Asiana freight building, today it's gone.
