Here we are: It's 2010 already. Considering how a lot of people fared in 2009, it's about time. Here's hoping that the new year treats you better than the old!
New Year's Eve was marked by a rare occurrence: A full moon. I know, you're saying that a full moon isn't all that rare; after all they occur about every 29 days. But last night's was special because it was the second full moon of the month, making it (by some definitions, anyway) a blue moon. In some parts of the world, there was also a visible partial lunar eclipse. I didn't see it in LA, and it didn't look very blue from the tower:
