What could possibly go wrong?

This just in, from the "What could possibly go wrong?" department. A shot of our ground radar:

  1. Same flight #, two different airlines, departing at the same time!

  2. Somebody might not listen to the call signs? They might not turn the same direction >takeoff? UA go right AA go left might have a little consternation.
Sure was noisy last night between 1130 and 0030, the right atmospheric conditions sound like the 25's are across the street instead of down the road.

  3. Wake disturbances for the second of two to roll?

  4. United 10 Heavy is landing on 25L (from IAH). American 10 Heavy is holding in position to depart 25R Full-length (JFK). United will roll-out and either be asked to hold short of 25R or cross 25R(on M or P). United 10 may hear the Take-off clearance for American 10 Heavy and if they are busy may assume that it was a clearance to cross 25L or American may hear "****10 heavy" and assume it was a TO clearance instead of a crossing instruction for United. Most controllers will warn pilots of similar sounding call signs on their initial contact. "American 10 heavy be advised that United 10 heavy will be checking on for 25L. United 10 Heavy be advised that American 10 Heavy is also on Frequency".
